An oversized outdoor accent chair developed for the Walmart Canada Hometrends 2026 program. The program direction called for a statement piece — oversized seating with plush thick rope, curved contours, and recycled components mandatory — delivered at the Hometrends entry price tier, where jumbo rope hasn't typically lived as a material.
The frame is e-coated and powder-coated steel finished with a hand-painted woodgrain treatment, giving the piece the warmth of a wood frame at the structural cost and durability of steel. Jumbo rope is handwoven across the back and sides — the same thick-cord material introduced in an earlier program for the US club channel (see: Halifax), applied here at a price point closer to where mass retail typically lives. The cushions are boucle in beige, made from fifty percent recycled polyester and treated with 3M Scotchgard, bringing the indoor textile trend outside while meeting the brief's recycled-content requirement. The chair ships KD for parcel.
