Developed for Sam's Club Member's Mark through Grand Leisure, released Spring 2024.
A deep seating and dining collection conceived to introduce jumbo rope — a material moving across European and Asian outdoor furniture shows at the time, with rope and braided cord featured prominently at Salone del Mobile 2022 across brands including Knoll, Flexform, and Pedrali — into the US club channel. The intent was to translate an elevated, specialty-retailer aesthetic into a format that reads as familiar, considered, and grounded for a broader audience.
Wide, generous arms maximize comfort and give the piece presence on the showroom floor. A barrel-back silhouette softens the geometry and brings the kind of residential warmth more often found in indoor seating to the patio category. Hand-brushed aluminum frames are wrapped in jumbo rope, paired with a restrained palette of warm neutrals — the kind of finish language usually reserved for higher-tier specialty retailers, reinterpreted at scale.
Halifax opened a new outdoor furniture category for the club retail program. It moved from a single seasonal vision through sampling into production as deep seating and dining sets, then expanded across subsequent seasons into additional configurations, establishing a foundation the broader outdoor program continued to build from.
