A two-pack dining chair developed within the category-development program that brought an outdoor furniture business into indoor furniture for a national warehouse-club retailer. The work followed the black-frame, natural-weave dining direction that specialty retailers had pushed to the front of the category through the late 2010s — and translated it to the channel's price and dimensional targets, against a dining assortment that ran heavily all-wood and padded-seat.
A blackened wood frame holds a clean ladder-back silhouette, its uprights and crest rail kept slender so the structure reads as light against the woven seat. A hand-woven rush seat carries the texture and warmth, doing the work a cushion would in the segment's typical chair while giving the piece a more crafted read at floor-shopping distance. The contrast is deliberate — dark, architectural frame against pale natural fiber — keeping the chair modern rather than rustic.
