Developed for Walmart Better Homes & Gardens through Grand Leisure, released Spring 2025.
A six-piece outdoor conversation set developed as a late addition to the Better Homes & Gardens Spring 2025 program. The program direction called for a set that brought the scale, configuration, and visual presence typical of warehouse club floor sets into the BHG brand at a Walmart price point — added late to the program with a compressed development window.
The compressed timeline shaped the approach. An existing discontinued BHG five-piece conversation set was redesigned into Rockport's six-piece configuration — a known frame and known tooling carrying less adjustment risk into the final sample round than a ground-up concept could in the same window. Arms grew wider. Seats grew deeper. Cushions thickened. The frame finish moved from single-step to multi-step, picking up gold highlights against a hand-painted brown. A new tile-top table replaced the previous tabletop. Stationary chairs became motion. Two ottomans were specified to tuck under the coffee table when not in use, holding the footprint tight.
Rockport released early SP25 in-store and online in two configurations — a six-piece conversation set with coffee table, and a six-piece set with propane fire-pit table.
