Developed for indoor spaces through Activa Leisure
An accent chair developed within the category-development program that brought an outdoor furniture business into indoor furniture for a national warehouse-club retailer. The work followed the woven-furniture movement that had taken hold across interiors by 2019–2020 — cane, rattan, and rope moving from accent pieces to the front of the category — and explored a more upholstered take on it. Where the retailer's existing accent chairs ran fully upholstered, Rimini introduced woven texture without surrendering the comfort and presence that segment expected.
The side panels and legs form a unified shell wrapped in woven rope, giving the piece visual solidity, while an upholstered front and back introduce contrast and softness. Outward-curving arms extend the profile with composure, framing the seat cushion within a balanced, architectural composition — folding the woven look into a silhouette that still reads as a substantial accent chair rather than a lightweight woven frame.
The Rimini Accent Chair is grounded refinement — a modern silhouette shaped by proportion, texture, and restraint.
