A six-light chandelier developed during a period when residential lighting was shifting toward a softer transitional aesthetic. The design combines the familiarity of a traditional dining chandelier with cleaner lines, reduced ornament, and a more open structure, translating the emerging contemporary direction into an approachable fixture for Lowe’s Portfolio collection.
The composition is organized around a slender central frame with six sweeping arms extending outward in long continuous curves. Rather than relying on decorative scrollwork, the arms themselves define the silhouette, creating an open and balanced profile around the center. Clear bowl-shaped glass shades expose the light source while adding volume at the ends of the arms, contrasting the transparency of the glass with the dark bronze metalwork.
The result sits between traditional and contemporary lighting, retaining familiar chandelier proportions while removing much of the decorative mass associated with the category. Its identity comes from proportion, sweeping line, and the relationship between the dark structural frame and clear glass.
