A pendant light exploring how woven natural fiber could bring warmth, texture, and visual rhythm into a refined lighting form. The design draws from the material language of outdoor furniture, translating rope construction into a compact fixture for interior and transitional spaces.
The silhouette is defined by two tapered volumes meeting at a narrow center, creating an hourglass profile with a strong vertical rhythm. Natural lampakanay rope is tensioned around the open metal frame in evenly spaced strands, allowing the exposed bulb to remain visible while creating a layered interplay of light and shadow. The restrained geometry gives the material room to carry the character of the design without unnecessary ornament.
The frame was developed around efficient production and assembly, using a simple metal structure that could be woven by hand while remaining practical to manufacture and ship. The Luxon Pendant brings woven texture into a compact lighting form, balancing natural warmth, transparency, and controlled proportion.
