Developed for Walmart Better Homes & Gardens through Grand Leisure, released Spring 2026.
A six-piece outdoor sectional developed for the Better Homes & Gardens Spring 2026 program. The program direction called for a deep-seat, fully-upholstered piece with wood-frame accents and floating-back construction — referencing the aspirational outdoor furniture look that's emerged across luxury brands in recent seasons. Juliet's task was to translate that look into a piece that could live at the Better Homes & Gardens price point without losing the design intent.
A faux-wood finish over an aluminum and steel substructure delivers the warmth and visual weight of the aspirational references while keeping the piece engineered for outdoor durability, price, and parcel. The wide-arm geometry needed a tube wider than what was available in steel, so the arm was specified in aluminum — a sourcing constraint that worked in the design's favor, since steel construction would have pushed the piece over the parcel shipping weight target. Steel carries load where load needs to be carried. A ten-inch deep-seat cushion signals quality at first contact; vacuum-packed for parcel shipping, the cushion compresses to fit shipping size requirements without compromising its sit dimension.
