Developed through Checkolite International for Lowe’s Portfolio, released 2011.
A traditional flushmount designed for Lowe’s Portfolio lighting collection. The fixture was developed within the European-inspired decorative lighting language popular at the time, using familiar ornamental cues to create a proprietary design with a strong architectural presence at the ceiling.
The composition is built around a layered circular frame, with a raised ornamental crown above a broad pierced metal band. Fleur-de-lis motifs repeat around the perimeter, drawing from a symbol historically associated with European heraldry and monarchy while giving the fixture its primary visual identity. A shallow faux alabaster glass diffuser extends beneath the frame with a fine radial texture that softens the light and visually balances the heavier metalwork above. The weathered bronze finish carries across the frame, glass trim, and center finial, reinforcing the aged traditional character of the piece.
Released through Lowe’s Portfolio brand in 2011, the fixture translated the ornate decorative lighting trend of the period into an accessible residential flushmount with a distinct identity within the assortment.
