A single-light pendant developed for Lowe’s Allen + Roth collection as vintage industrial lighting was moving from higher-end interiors into the broader residential market. The direction translated the character of early factory and utility lighting into a more accessible fixture for Lowe’s, using familiar period details while developing a distinct proportion and finish combination for the collection.
The design is built around a shallow curved metal shade that gives the fixture a softer residential profile than the deeper industrial shades common to the category. A dark bronze exterior is paired with a warm metallic interior and contrasting copper and brass-toned socket details above, creating a layered finish treatment that becomes more visible when the fixture is illuminated. The exposed bulb extends below the shade, reinforcing the vintage utility character, while the black cloth cord completes the period-influenced construction.
