A five-piece outdoor sectional with dining table developed for the Home Depot Canada Hampton Bay 2024 patio program. Having designed the existing Claxton five-piece chat set the previous season, the design opportunity was to extend that family into the new piece — compounding the customer recognition the Claxton chat set had earned rather than splitting floor presence across two unrelated stories.
The strategy was design-language continuity. The frame holds the existing Claxton graphite-finished steel, and the cushions hold the existing Claxton light grey — protecting the family identity that customers shopping alongside the existing pieces would recognize. The silhouette is where the new piece earns its own ground: rounded ottoman ends that read as bench seating for two, generous proportions across the sectional, and a single-piece rockplate tabletop that gives the dining surface a clean unbroken plane against the structured frame.
Claxton Sectional released SP24 in-store and online, adding the dining-and-sectional occasion to a Claxton collection that had previously covered lounge seating.
